Meet a Mom: Jessica Bosch & Beth Dalena | Hudson County Moms

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
Beth: I am originally from Florham Park, I now live in Whippany and have practiced law in Madison since 1982
Jessica: I’m originally from Essex Fells, NJ but later moved to Morristown when I started practicing law. Thereafter, I moved to Roxbury Township, where I currently live with my Husband and two children. My business Dalena & Bosch, LLC, however, is located in Madison, NJ where it has been located for the last 7 years since I started my business venture with Beth Dalena Esq., in 2014. Our office has a long history in the town of Madison, however, as Beth’s father, Albert Dalena , Esq., originally started the firm in 1959. Accordingly, our firm has been a long-standing member of the business community in Madison for more than sixty-two years despite the fact that ownership of the business has changed over the years. As a law firm we have been serving the needs of the community for all of their Family Law and Wills and Estate needs for over sixty years. However, we are now a women’s owned business and are proud to take a different approach than most other law firms with respect to representation of our clients. When it comes to a divorce, we take a wholistic approach when practicing law and tend to not think of ourselves so much as divorce attorneys but instead as family restructuring specialists. That is, we recognize that even after divorce people with children will always be a family. Therefore, we try to assist people in the process of restructuring how their families will look in the future post-divorce and ultimately how they will interact upon the dissolution of their marriage. This is why our firm’s motto is “holding your hand when you need it most… before, during & after divorce”. Simply, put we don’t just so goodbye to our clients upon divorce if they need us. Instead, we are always there to lend a helping hand when needed.

Beth: Grato, Fig and Lily Garden, Sushi Lounge for restaurants; Fox’s in Whippany for shopping

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
Beth: We own and operate a family law firm in Madison where we help our client navigate through the stress of divorce and separation.
Jessica: Yes. I’m partner/owner of the law firm of Dalena & Bosch LLC that focuses on Family Law Matters and Wills and Estate Matters. What I love most about my choice of career as both a lawyer and business owner, is helping clients get to a better place in their lives. I also love the fact that as a mom and business owner I don’t have to sacrifice spending time with my children over work related obligations. Instead, I find that being a business owner and a momtrepenaur allows me to balance both aspects of my life so that no area is being short changed. I also love that as a mom, my clients with children know I can relate to their circumstances.

If you could give one tip to fellow Mom Entrepreneurs what would it be?
Beth: Coaching is an important part of growth and ultimately your success.
Jessica: Don’t be afraid to hire and delegate in order to ensure that you can maintain balance between both your career and family life.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
Beth: My favorite stress management technique is dancing to live music
Jessica: I love boating and have had my boater’s license since I was 9 years old. Being a true Jersey Girl I spent my summers with my family down at the Jersey Shore. That’s where I developed my love for boating and now take my children to the Jersey Shore on the weekends in the summer in order to keep the tradition going.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Beth: Customer service and the customer experience at our business is very important to us. We rely on referrals and the more people we engage with, the more business!
Jessica: The Madison Community has been instrumental in developing our reputation in the community as not only good lawyers but also as good honest people to be represented by. Being that my firm has been in the community in one form or another since 1959 we have developed roots in the community where our firm has name recognition and is often known to represent different generations in the same family.
